This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Major Duties
Works under general supervision of the supervisor or foreman who provides instructions on the depth to be plowed, or spacing between furrows, and, on the materials to be used, such as type of fertilizer or seed to dispense.,Completed work is checked for compliance to standard operating practices and special instructions such as depth to plant seeds or depth of the ditch to be dug.,Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment. Plans the order in which work is to be accomplished; transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears, mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials.,Makes multiple connections between the tractor and attached or towed equipment. Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments.,May operate under different conditions, such as mud, snow, and areas where trees and shrubs present operational hazards. Performs minor maintenance on field-type tractors and attached and towed equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment. Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit. Skills and Knowledge: Must have knowledge of tractor and equipment operating characteristics such as tractor gears, power ratios, braking and turning capacities, and equipment power requirements, capacities and operating speeds. Must be able to manipulate the tractor and equipment controls at the same time. Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered
