DevOps Engineer (USAF Cloud One)

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experiencetomodernize a leading, global-scalemulti-cloud environmentin support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

Location:

This positionwill behybrid remote. Candidateswillbe requiredto work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will belocatednear Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA)or work in Huntsville, AL.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCould Include:

This individual willbe responsible fordeveloping in a scalable cloud-native solutions, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. This is a hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor.

• Design, implement, andsupportCI/CD pipelines for secure, automated software delivery.
• Assistwith the implementation ofDevSecOpspipelinesacross AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Develop andmaintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC)using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Deploy, configure, and support applications in cloud environments.
• Support availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
• Helpmaintainvirtualized and hybrid cloud environments to meet performance and security requirements.
• Implement and support automated security tools for vulnerability scanning, SAST/DAST, and container security.
• In-depth experience with Java
• In-depth experience integrating with and delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
• Direct experienceutilizingsoftware testing performance tools, such as Junit and scripting languages, such as Python, and Bash while working in an Agile development environment
• Collaborate with developers, QA, security, and operations teams to support secure software delivery.
• Follow establishedDevSecOpsstandards, processes, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelorsandeight(8)years or more of experience;Mastersandsix (6)years or more of experience.Additionalexperience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Secret clearancerequiredto start
• US citizenshiprequired
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)
• ​​Working knowledge ofDevSecOpsprinciples and Agile methodologies(Scrum and/or Kanban).
• Experience supporting or administeringcloud-based platforms(AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
• Experience withCI/CD toolssuch as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity withcontainerization technologies(Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficiencyin at least onescripting or programming language(e.g., Python, Bash, Java, Go).
• Understanding ofLinux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and version control tools (Git).
• Strong collaboration and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supportingDoD or USAF cloud environments(e.g., Cloud One, Platform One).
• Familiarity withZero Trust concepts.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK.
• Exposure to security scanning, compliance frameworks, orDevSecOpsautomation.
